Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

I cannot believe that in less than two weeks Christmas will be here! I absolutely L.O.V.E the Christmas season! I love how everyone is just a little extra caring and mindful to those in need. I love all of the service projects, the snow and all of the beautiful Christmas lights. It just makes your heart fell warm inside.

In the past, I have totally been the one to decorate the house, play Christmas music and have all of my Christmas shopping finished by November 1st! However, because my beautiful baby boy was born on November 27th... I made myself hold off any decorating and Christmas shopping for him until After his birthday! This was a challenge for me.. but I really want to make sure to separate Carter's birthday and Christmas! So, once his birthday was over, and a few days had past.. we put up the tree and decorations! And the most special decoration that has a wonderful tradition behind it, is the Christmas star on top of our tree! This year, Carter & Daddy put it on. I don't know why, but its one of my very favorite moments. It really makes me think of the birth of our saviour in that small and simple Christmas star.

This is Carter's first christmas tree ornament! My mom gave it to him last year for Christmas ... and this year it is front and center of our tree!

Speaking of our Christmas tree... we have always had this sad looking "Charlie Brown Tree" but we are usually able to "disguise" that by all of our cute Christmas balls to cover up the "spaces"... this year... that didn't happen. I'll tell you why... we have this little boy named Carter ...who now knows how to walk soo.. naturally he became taller! He doesnt really seem to be bothered by the Tree... BUT those christmas balls he L.O.V.E.S! So... we only put about 1/4 of the christmas tree decorations and day after day they slowly moved up the tree where he can't reach them....because of this...

so in the end we have this sad looking fake tree that is only decorated on the top half and that has never looked worse... but has never been more loved!

As for the few presents that are already under the tree.. he really doesn't touch them much.. which is SOOO nice! I must admit I was really worried about it but he's been really good. The only one that he is very interested in is this one...

he takes it... and pushes it around the living room and kitchen and goes "vroommm vrrommm" lol like its a car. Wierd.. lol.. but so cute! Other than that he leaves the presents alone. (Thank you Carter!!)

We are all ready for Christmas.. I did Carter's Christmas shopping last Saturday.. and I have never had more fun! Honestly I want to go again and again lol... Christmas truly is for kids!
Our stalking are hung and ready for Santa!

And although Christmas can be so exciting with presents and family, food and friends.... we try our best to keep Christ in Christmas.. to remember the birth of the savor and the true meaning of Christmas. "For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given..." (Isaiah 9:6)

And the best part about Christmas is spending it with our little man!

He really makes this time of year so special for us and so much fun! And even though right now he is teething really badly (working on his 9th tooth) we more often are seeing faces like these ones...

Thank goodness his wobbly walking skills distract him at times.

Yep. He's our pride and Joy!

Enjoy the Holidays!!
